tacos and words (including mine!) on the menu at neruda poetry festival

I am participating in a Literary Salon as part of the three-day 9th Annual Neruda Poetry Festival this weekend at El Centro Su Teatro, Denver’s 35-year-old Chicano/Latino Cultural Arts Center. The salon, Tacos & Words, takes place Saturday, April 19 from 4pm to about 6pm (including the taco bar!). Four writers (primarily poets, primarily Xicano, except for yours truly) will share their work and their views on the literary life, in a facilitated roundtable. I plan to share 1-2 poems plus excerpts from my literary fiction manuscript, When The Spring Breeze Come Dancin’ By. Salon presenters include Sandra Maria Esteves, one of the founders of the Nuyorican Poetry Movement, who headlines the festival later that evening. See the poster (at left) for details, or visit the El Centro su Teatro website for a larger, easier-to-read poster, plus more on this community-based performing arts organization, including directions. Or, call 303.296.0219.
