My recent post portraying Senator Barack Obama as poster child of a rapidly shifting paradigm, led one reader to explore the notion of significant shifts taking place in the march of human evolution.
Malcolm at knightofswords asked, “…What I’m curious about, I guess, is whether there really is a shift and, if so, who or what caused it. Or is it another swinging of the pendulum back in the other direction as a reaction against many of the horrors we see in the “outer” world?”
What’s your opinion?
Have you read, seen, observed, or experienced a rise in human consciousness? Do you agree (or disagree) that humans, as a species, are becoming more spiritual, more aware, more exploratory about their true meaning and purpose on Earth?
When Oprah Winfrey interviews the Dalai Lama or Eckhart Tolle or shares heart-wrenching stories of human forgiveness and compassion — is she helping guide humans to deeper purpose and connection in their lives, or simply trolling for ratings and book sales?
Are more people attending yoga class, exploring Buddhism and other Eastern religions, talking about/practicing the universal law of attraction and flocking to personal growth workshops and conferences because an evolutionary process is calling them to more authentic and expanded lives, or simply because they are sheep for the latest trends?
When scientists demonstrate the power of prayer, the physiological changes brought about by love and meditation, and the ability to create one’s own reality via the principles of quantum physics, are they heralding the emergence of a different kind of human being?
Are there only a very few of us who believe in the power of the shifting now taking place? Is all of this nothing more than a rehash of old ideas or new age concepts? And who, if any, actually have the authority to make pronouncements and declarations on the subject?

The Secret movie was an awesome example of how the law of attraction can summon the universal powers to manifest people situations and material things into your life.
All of the presenters had compelling stories that described in detail how their lives changed once they applied the secret principals.
I watched the movie several times only to discover the secret was never revealed nor did they explain how to actually make the law of attraction work in your favor.
I searched for a year and finally discovered exactly how the secret law of attraction works.
Anybody can put the principals to work for them and change their life dramatically in a short period of time.
It’s true, they are laws and they work all the time but its your choice to make them work for you and not against you.

Perhaps You, Karen and others who can sense mega-energy shifts are seeing/feeling the inner workings of the hexagrammes used with the “I Ching.” I enjoyed reading your “take” on all of this and figured that if it works for you, there’s probably something there I’m either missing or that’s on another wavelength. :-)
Basically, I don’t spend much time looking for resources because resources are “exterior” to me. They are all hearsay. When somebody tells me they speak for Uriel, for example, I not only don’t believe it, I don’t see it as relevant even if it’s true. I can only follow the words and feelings from within.
My spiritual view is essentially Rosicrucian and Kabbalistic, and so I focus on that rather than attending to a smorgasbord of paths simultaneously which, as Paulo Coelho says, is the same as having no path.
Yet from all of our diversity of paths, we come back to many areas of common ground when in comes to what we’re doing and why we’re doing it.

Very fair questions!
Thanks for your honesty about Karen Bishop’s material. Yes, it’s gobbledygook to many, and I sometimes forget that not everyone speaks the same language as me.
After years of working with energy, pondering and reflecting and healing and clearing enough of my own emotional, mental, and psychological “stuff” so that I can listen and receive clear guidance from within…
…I can now quickly sense what resonates with me and what does not. (You are doing this, too, by acknowledging the sites that don’t work for you.) It’s trial and error, to be sure.
Sometimes Karen Bishop’s energy alert gags me, so I just pass and wait for the next one. Mostly, however, I go to sites such as hers to receive confirmation, not to validate. For instance, if I have a particularly rough period where things feel upside down and inside out, or perhaps I’m having some physical symptoms that feel as though they have a non-physical source, I check in with a few friends and websites to see what kind of experience others are having. Based on anecdotal evidence, I can then say to myself, “Oh, it’s not just me; others are experiencing the same things”. That tells me there’s a larger energy shift going on, and it allows me to take comfort and move through the waves more smoothly. I often feel the energy surges myself, only to see others report similar happenings days or weeks down the road.
I find great resonance in Barbara Marciniak’s classic, “Bringers of the Dawn,” which offers up teachings of the Pleadians. From there, I realized that I also feel “at home” with certain channeled material that speaks of galactic origins. Even as a child, I tried my darnedest to convince my parents that I was from another planet called “Jumpkalobbie.”
I have long found myself drawn to Native American spirituality, and have also connected with western mysticism. Bear in mind that I am primarily a right-brained individual, so I tend not to bring an analytical process into my spiritual life.
There are also many things I’ve looked into and immediately declared, “Nope. Next!” If the “mega-level messages” don’t work for you, keep looking for ones that do. I smiled at your comment that “…the information seems to me more than a human could possibly know from within the system…” You hit the nail on the head! Part of the multidimensional approach is to embrace concepts and ideas that go beyond what our rational, intellectual minds can understand. You know what you know, you know?
As to why the messages are not filled with more specifics, remember that they often are talking about energy and not form. For instance, I know from talking with others that the energy was huge today (June 12). For some, that meant chaos, problems at home and at work, and the feeling of being “stuck” at every turn. They want to make changes in their lives, but haven’t done the requisite foundational work on core issues. Hence, they’re getting slammed from every direction.
On the other hand, I had a wonderful day, seeing the fruits of my inner work made manifest and connecting up with new and old friends who feel like family in the largest sense of the word. I’ve been through my angst, turmoil, loss, and surrender, so I’m at a different place on the journey. Not necessarily better or more advanced, just different.
Can you say anything more about what resources you would like to find? I can probably scout around for some other possibilities (or better yet, create them myself!) As always, thanks for your thoughtful comments.

You’re probably right about the process being both personal and private. The critical mass idea is very apt.
I’ve checked read Karen’s material before and really wish it resonated with me. On one hand, I have no clue what she’s talking about. There are several others online with mega-level messages. When it comes down to it, the information seems to me more than a human could possibly know from within the system, and if they actually do know facts/truths/trends at that level, I want to ask why the messages are so vague when it comes to specific details.
What draws you to these messages and how does one validate them?

Beautiful poem. From my multi-dimensional perspective, I see it as a bit of both. The personal and private transformations assist in anchoring in new frequencies of energy, thus creating sufficient critical mass so that the next wave of personal and private transformations can take place, and so on and so on.
Karen Bishop’s energy alerts on What’s Up On Planet Earth explain this ascension process in a straightforward manner, and I find great resonance with her messages.

Paul Williams, in his book “Das Energi,” (Elekra Books, 1973)includes a poem that I’ve always liked a great deal:
“We are on the verge of the new age,
a whole new world.
Mankind’s consciousness, our mutual
awareness, is going to make a quantum
leap.
Everything will change. You will never
be the same.
All of this will happen just as soon as
you’re ready.”
It will be interesting to see whether your readers see this as a mass event or–like the Second Coming (as interpreted by some)–a personal and private transformation.
