For the last couple of months I have been bringing through
images of angels. This one is “Grounding Angel.”
There comes a time when you will meet your self in a new way
You will not be who you were, and who you are right now
may also be but a temporary situation
What you once believed
you can no longer embrace,
Company you once enjoyed,
may now feel scratchy and out of tune
Without warning, you may find yourself aghast
at your surroundings and your daily routines
Your body will ask for food not in your cupboard –
more greens, more yellow, more orange
Your skin will yearn for a new environment –
more sun, more rain, more trees, more canyons
Whose life am I living now? you may wonder
Cracking and crumbling, outworn ideas and patterns
will evaporate and leave you feeling untethered for a time
How you may have responded yesterday
will quite likely be unavailable to you today
Your analytical brain may suddenly bolt,
giving way to a heart-based, fullbody intelligence ~
Your feelings sharper, richer, deeper,
Your tears flowing faster,
your laughter breaking out when you least expect it
A flash of anger here and a trifle of fear there,
Then gone with a knowing wink and a nod
There comes a time when you will feel the pull
of limitlessness tugging at your core
Old distractions will no longer capture your fancy
The past will no longer gnaw at your present,
And your future, unknown and wrapped in baby’s breath
will approach you bearing the scent of ripened contentment
But who am I to be now? you may wonder
The answer will be borne on the wind as it whistles through you
Traversing your interior byways as a starburst ignites the heavens
Everything is working out perfectly
The procession continues with scant effort on your part ~
Best to lean in and relax
A gentle current will carry you in its fondest embrace
Lifting you to a time that now has come.
